Awards 2023
From the North to the South of Italy, 140 projects participated in the 2023 call for proposals of Fondazione Italia Patria della Bellezza, double the number of candidates compared to the first edition in 2021. To award them, we decided to choose a balance criterion which would both consider prestigious and experimental projects. This guideline, which pairs the programs of major cultural institutions together with the courageous initiatives of young cutting-edge initiatives, is strengthened and confirmed by the list of adoptions, made possible thanks to the generosity of the numerous agencies that have once again chosen to join our initiative.
In addition to the fields of art, music, performing arts festivals and science, we noticed throughout the participants a predominance of socially oriented projects. In addition to the 5 winners, 14 adoptions and 31 sponsored projects, the EssilorLuxottica Special Prize was awarded to the Biblioteca Capitolare di Verona, and the Associazione Italiana di Geologia e Turismo won the Lonely Planet Special Mention.
